The Hip Raise and Leg Curl

If you have an exercise ball, this work out is a great way to work your glutes! For this exercise you’ll want to lie face up on the floor and place your lower legs and heels on an exercise ball. Then, push your hips up so that your body forms a straight line from your shoulders to your knees. Without pausing, pull your heels toward you and roll the ball as close as possible to your butt. Pause for 1 or 2 seconds, then reverse the motion, by rolling the ball back until your body is in a straight line. Lower your hips back to the floor. Repeat these steps for  a great glute workout.

The Banded Sumo Walk

It sounds as funny as it looks but it promotes great activity on your tush!  The way it works is you place a mini-band around your shins and you force your legs outward while trying to move forward. If you have mastered this exercise you can challenge yourself by placing the band on your forefeet instead.

The Marching Hip Raise

Lie face up on the floor with your knees bent and your feet flat on the floor. Then, raise your hips so that your body forms a straight line from your shoulders to your knees. First lift one knee to your chest, then lower that knee back to the start, and lift your other knee to your chest. Continue to alternate back and forth.
